Zoe-perry
Perry has the father of actor Laurie Metcalf, and Jeff Perry. One of her first TV appearances were Jackie Harris on ABC's sitcom Roseanne. Her mother played her role. Perry was forbidden to start acting in front of her family until she reached an adulthood stage, because they were concerned about the anxiety it could create. Perry was shy in high-school and did not act. She began acting in the year 2000 at Northwestern University to gain friends as she transferred to the university from Boston University. Perry, after graduating from Boston University, moved to New York in search of TV roles. She landed small parts on TV shows like Law & Order: Criminal Intent. However, homesickness brought her back to California in search of theater jobs. Perry performed with her mom as part of The Other Place at Broadway the previous year. She performed with the father of her character Kevin McKidd and Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize winning drama Anna Christie in 2015 at the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble, West Los Angeles. Perry appeared in 9 episodes on ABC's drama The Family during 2016. Her father played her on The ABC Drama Scandal. In addition, she played in the role of a older Mary Cooper in Young Sheldon - which is a CBS spin-off of The Big Bang Theory. She was cast in the role in spite of her strong familial connection to the character.
